Still, he takes the warning seriously. Credence would never hurt Peter if he could help it, but the obscurus is also a self-defence mechanism. If for some reason there was ever a reason...well, Credence just has to hope he doesn't hurt Peter on accident. ]
I told him Paimon, I mean. I told him that he should try to coexist with you. I'm not sure if he can remember something like that. I think he gets confused but that's no excuse to hurt a friend.
[ Peter does remember what they've talked about before, how there's something inside of Credence, but... his memories of actually seeing it through Paimon are hazy at best. That time Paimon had encountered the other boy out on the beach still feels like some dream — but Peter knows that whatever strange dark thing is inside of his friend, it's real. ]
I'm glad. I hate the thought of hurting any more of my friends. I'd rather just not be around anyone if I'm going to keep hurting them

But Luna's helping him. She kind of made a pact with him. Like an official witch pact? Hopefully it'll help a little.
I understand not wanting to hurt your friends. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone on accident but I don't think that's likely now.

I don't know anything about witch pacts but Luna is a good person. Maybe she'll rub off on him a little and he'll work harder to not be cruel.

It's all right. Sometimes I think having friends can be strange or takes work. I didn't really have many before I came here. So it's okay if it takes work to have friends now.

Apparently it'll give him some.... stability Hopefully He like needs that? The kind of demon he is needs.... guidance, or something I don't know much about it either But I hope Luna's going to be okay I'm really worried about her having a connection to this thing
