ya. it's pretty straightforward for people like you or me who know we're a guy/girl/whatever we were born as.
but some people identify as something different than how they were born.
like they were born with boy parts but they know deep down inside they're a girl so they start living as a girl.
or, some people don't feel like either gender. so they'll use different pronouns altogether, like they or them.

sure you can! you can be whatever you want to be. it's called being nonbinary, as in neither male nor female.

if it's what feels right for you, you can be anything you want to be.

do you think you might not want to be a guy?

i don't know a ton about the history of it, bc i'm cisgender (aka born a girl, identify as a girl), but i'm pretty sure trans people have existed in secret for, like, a long ass time. it's just that nobody really talked about any of it or had the right terminology to discuss it until the future.

if you don't think of yourself as human, i don't think there's any reason to stick with a human gender if you don't want to. you could be what they call agender. (which is no gender at all, which is slightly different than being a third, neutral gender)

"trans"/"transgender" is sort of the catch all word for it. basically it means someone who is living as a gender other than the one they were born as. that includes nonbinary/agender people too.

agender people sometimes use a different pronoun, like they/them, but if you want to keep using he/him, you can do that and still be agender. it's pretty much customizable.

for sure! this is kind of a big deal thing to wrap your head around, i get it.

if you have any questions, you can always ask me. if i don't know the answer, i'll try to find out from someone who does.

sometimes it's not easy to figure stuff like that out. it can take time... experimentation. but it's worth it.
