BLURB: Somewhat unstable. Full of immense power that he may or may not actually be able to control. Slower to trust than he used to be, but prone to being manipulated. Longs for answers, identity, acceptance, kindness, touch. Sensitive and soft-spoken, but harbours rage, fear, and resentment. Magical, but not entirely sure yet what that means. Protective. Mostly loyal. Eager to please. Kind to animals. Kind to other people until he has a reason not to be. Shy. Neurodivergent. Dangerous, though (sometimes) on accident.

AT A GLANCE: High level innate magical power that got twisted into something wildly destructive. Obscurus transformation: fairly good level of control over the destructive force of the Obscurus, including the ability to pull himself back together. He tends to direct this outward now rather than transforming, but nothing in canon indicates he can't do both and I do what I want! Canon says that using his abilities slowly kills him but again, I do what I want, and I'll find ways around that so he's not nerfed. He can't do regular wizard magic, though; he can only really do the destructive thing.

CHANGES: Credence has come around to considering himself nonbinary (eventually trying out they pronouns, but he's really hesitant about it because it's a lot to consider). He also considers himself a monster and not human. He's more open to talking to people now, but he's still not physically affectionate and he can be too reserved or skittish. He does have control over the obscurus transformation, more or less, thanks to a power gem he acquired. If he doesn't have the gem on him, his power isn't easily controlled and he can definitely hurt people.
RELATIONSHIP: He's best friends with Gwen Poole and is sort of learning from Maul (for the time being), but hasn't ever had any romantic relationships.
