He's confused that it's not Luna, but this is okay. This is actually good. Credence knows him; he can help him. ]

[ You know you're in a weird place when a boy from 1927 is explaining to an eldritch demon how to text. ]

[ The text..... He understands that modern methods of communicating involve devices like this one. Some part of him remembers; it wasn't so long ago that he lived thirteen years in a human host. But Peter's different. Peter's the right host, and it's unscrambled things and rescrambled others, and he's forgotten many things he had learned before.

But as expected, Credence is helping him. Paimon's eager to learn, watching the video very intensely. It overwhelms him through parts, and he doesn't understand everything, but there is... one part that has three words that are very familiar for him, and it makes him excitable; he works out how to type the words exactly how they appear. ]

[ Well, this takes awhile for Credence to even begin to make a guess about what this means. ]

Are you saying that satan is related to you?

[ Oh. OH. Well, actually, that makes some semblance of sense from what he understands about demon possession. Though in some way he considers both Paimon and Peter friends, even if he doesn't know Paimon's actual name or what's going on with them. ]

[ Does Credence believe in hell anymore? He has no idea. Did he ever? Still no idea.

In the end, it doesn't matter all that much. He doesn't want Peter to get hurt. Paimon doesn't seem to be hurting Peter, at least not now. Credence sees himself as a monster, so is there much difference? People think monsters are bad. People think demons are bad. What does anyone know? ]

[ He remembers all of Paimon's uncertainty when they first met, as well as the feeling of it when they'd been connected. ]

[ Credence knows about Hell? Paimon grows more excited at that, his mind humming so loudly it's practically filled with colours and vibrations. It's probably a good thing there's no longer a thread between them, or Credence would no doubt have the worst headache right now. ]

[ Well, okay, whatever "the people" and "grandma" mean. Credence takes this to mean Paimon doesn't remember a whole lot. ]

Why does Peter hide you from Luna? Can he do that on purpose? Does he know about you now?

[ Credence isn't entirely sure how much Peter knows about Paimon. He's actually not sure how much Paimon knows, either, and this conversation hasn't enlightened him much. ]

[ Talking about Peter is... complicated. Their relationship is incredibly tense, and skewed. Peter's not meant to still be... here. His consciousness isn't. The body was meant to be Paimon's now; it was given to him. ]

[ Peter can't stop him from coming out if he really wants to, but he can socially distance himself from Luna, basically. It's been a real bummer for Paimon. He's been quite lonely without her around. ]

I know sometimes things happen, though.

[ He has no idea if Paimon goes out of control at other people. He saw the demon try to hurt Peter's body, though, clawing at his throat or that freaky drowning thing. And then there was the time he'd been messing with the corpse, but he hadn't been the one to kill it, right? And demons are probably "evil" but what does that even mean. ]

I think you should try to get along. You're both here and you both have to survive.

[ Now there's.......something that gives him a lot of thought. He doesn't know what his purpose is, anymore. He remembers vague echoes of it, but he's not able to really do much, right now. Surviving, though... Is that the goal, for now? To survive?

At first, he'd thought he needed to get rid of Peter, by... killing him. Until he realised people come back to life here, and that killing Peter's body would most likely just kill him, too. They're trapped together, bound physically. No, he needs his young vessel technically alive... It's Peter's mind that has to go. Or his soul. ]

[ Paimon's.... surprised, by that. He understands the concept, more or less, of what a "friend" is. A companion. But it's not really something he thinks is particularly relevant to himself. There are people he's fond of and wants to please, but... that's not really a "friend" is, it?

Yet this boy calls him a "friend", and Paimon thinks perhaps... perhaps, that is true. He does consider Credence a sort of companion; he's one of the first people here with whom Paimon felt some sort of connection to.

But friends with Peter.. It's very complicated. Still, he's seen that people here are attached to Peter; he remembers when River had pleaded with him, tearfully. He will try to be a bit gentler about it. ]
